East Cobb Second Floor Renovation

This luxurious remodel in East Cobb took a traditional layout and converted it into a spacious retreat that blends elegance and function. The project included a complete redesign of two upstairs spaces – an unused fourth bedroom and the original primary suite – resulting in breathtaking spa-like primary bath and expansive walk-in closet drenched in natural light.

A fun, personality-filled en-suite was also added to the guest bedroom, bringing a playful contrast to the home’s refined design. The result is a second floor thoughtfully tailored for modern living, where luxury meets livability.

Many things were amiss when these homeowners decided to make a change. The original footprint of the home placed the shower and toilet of the primary bath in the front two windows of the home (goodbye privacy). Their primary closet seemed like an afterthought in an already cramped bathroom. Guests had quite the long walk to get to the shared hall bathroom. And if that wasn’t enough, the cat had the most spacious bedroom of all. Something just wasn’t right.

That’s where GreatHouse came in, and together we dreamed up a home where a cat room could be repurposed as the primary closet of a fairytale, the primary bathroom could become a place of relaxation, and a guest room could get a little flair with the addition of an en-suite bath. The result left us wondering how the homeowners ever leave.

The upstairs layout of primary and guest bedrooms was completely overhauled to create a space that felt both fresh and eternal, focusing on a floorplan that suits modern living. The primary bath became a spa retreat, with inset glass mirrors, quartzite stone, and marble accent tile giving the room a subtle elegance. The unused guest bedroom became an expansive walk-in custom closet and en-suite guest bath, making the previously unused room a hive of form and function.
