Woodstock Basement Revival

This elevated basement remodel in Woodstock, Georgia transformed an overlooked space into an entertainer’s retreat anchored by a showstopping bourbon bar, inviting television lounge, and dedicated poker area, all infused with timeless elegance and old-world charm.

By expanding the existing finished basement into previously unused storage space, the design made room for a generous bar, an enlarged living area, and a purposeful space for gathering and play. Today, the basement sets the stage for evenings centered on great friends, spirited conversation, and the art of living well.

These homeowners had a vision that their basement could be more than a place where old furniture ended up. Instead of it being the room that guests avoided, they wanted it to be the place where friends and family gravitated; a space that invited another story, another round, and more memories.

We expanded the existing finished basement into previously unused storage space to create a striking bourbon and wine bar, complete with a paneled beverage refrigerator and integrated wine coolers. A backlit smoked mirror backsplash showcases the bourbon collection, while a dramatic quartzite countertop brings a sense of effortless luxury. Nearby, the television lounge received a thoughtful refresh to complement the bar’s sultry ambiance, featuring exposed beams, metal floating shelving, and richly layered paint tones that lend the entire space a warm, intimate feel.
